TrueMova Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026
TrueMova helps learners practice Ukrainian pronunciation. This policy explains the data the app uses to provide assessment, scored practice, progress tracking, support, and app reliability. TrueMova is currently offered in the United States to people age 13 and older.
Age Eligibility
TrueMova does not allow account creation by children under 13. We ask for an age range and store only whether the user is 13–17 or 18 or older. We do not ask for or store a birth date. A user age 13–17 must confirm that a parent or guardian has given permission to use TrueMova and submit voice recordings. Optional product analytics are disabled for teen accounts.
Data We Collect
- Account data, such as your email address, optional display name, native language, Ukrainian level, and pronunciation practice goal.
- Google is an authentication provider. If you choose Google sign-in, TrueMova receives a short-lived Google ID token and sends it to Supabase Auth. Google may also provide your verified email, display name, profile image URL, and provider account identifier when available. TrueMova may use this account data for authentication, account linking, account management, and support. TrueMova does not request Google API access tokens or refresh tokens and never receives your Google password.
- Practice data, including lesson progress, scores, saved review items, and streaks.
- Voice recordings that you choose to submit for pronunciation scoring, together with the Ukrainian prompt and automated score results.
- Your age band, and for a teen account, the time guardian permission was confirmed. TrueMova does not collect an exact birth date.
- Subscription status needed to unlock Premium features.
- Technical diagnostics, including crash reports and app performance events.
- Optional first-party analytics events used to understand app usage and improve the product. These events are disabled for teen accounts.
How We Use Data
- To authenticate your account and sync your progress.
- To score your pronunciation and show feedback.
- To improve lesson quality, reliability, and user experience.
- To investigate crashes, failed scoring attempts, and support requests.
Storage And Processors
TrueMova uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and edge functions. Supabase manages password hashes and auth sessions for TrueMova accounts. Voice recordings are stored in a private Supabase bucket and provided through a short-lived signed link to TrueMova's RunPod-hosted scoring service only when needed to produce feedback. Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play and synced through RevenueCat. TrueMova uses Sentry for scrubbed crash diagnostics. These providers process data on TrueMova's behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
Voice Recording Choices And Retention
Microphone access is used only when you start a practice recording. A recording is uploaded after you choose to submit it. Submitted recordings and their scores remain with your account so the app can show feedback and progress, unless they are removed during support cleanup or you delete the account. Account deletion removes recording database rows and private recording files. Temporary signed links expire automatically.
Security And Diagnostics
TrueMova uses access controls, private storage, and encrypted network connections. No system can guarantee absolute security. Crash reports are configured not to send default personally identifying information, and TrueMova scrubs known account, token, recording-path, prompt, and transcript fields before sending diagnostics to Sentry. Essential security and crash diagnostics may still operate when optional analytics are off.
Sharing
TrueMova does not sell your personal information. Data is shared with service providers only as needed to operate the app, provide scoring, diagnose issues, or comply with legal obligations.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account in the app from Settings, or use the account deletion page. Deleting your account removes your TrueMova sign-in account, profile, recordings, scores, progress, streaks, saved review items, and first-party analytics tied to the account. Store subscriptions must be canceled separately. Aggregated or diagnostic records may remain when they no longer identify you or when short retention is needed for security and legal obligations.
Your Choices
You may decline microphone access, choose not to submit a recording, request support, or delete your account. A teen account cannot enable optional product analytics in the current release.
Changes
We may update this policy as TrueMova changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented in the app or through another appropriate notice.
